We supply complete propulsion systems, including CP gearbox, flexible coupling, PTO’s, mechanical, pneumatic or electronic remote control system, intermediate and propeller shaft in carbon steel or stainless steel, stern tube with your choice of lubrication system, CP propeller with standard or specially designed skewed propeller blades and thrust nozzle. Hundested Multi Pitch Propellers are produced in sizes to suit engines from 150 HP to approx. 3200 HP. Propeller diameters range from 500 mm (20") up to 3200 mm (126") in 3 and 4 blade models. Basic hub design is the same for all sizes, regardless of the types of pitch control unit. Custom build shafts and stern tubes are available for all sizes.

Pitch Control Units. The Multi Pitch Propeller propulsion package can be supplied with a CP gearbox, or with a pitch control unit (Type FR, FR-H or FR-HFC) for connection to a standard reduction gearbox.

Bow/stern thrusters are available in a range from 25 HP up to 1350 HP. Depending on size, the propeller is fixed, adjustable or CP type. The tunnel is manufactured in steel with a stainless ring in way of the propeller.The prime mover is hydraulic up to 90 HP.From 100 HP and up there is a choice of an electric motor, hydraulic motor or diesel engine.

Retractable thrusters are available in a range from 25 HP up to 150 HP. The tunnel is manufactured in aluminium. The prime mover is hydraulic and the retraction mechanism is hydraulically or electrically activated.

V-shaped thrusters are available in steel or aluminium and range from 25 HP up to 200 HP. They are specially suited for vessels with V-shaped hull form.

The CP gearboxes are specially designed for use with CP propellers, and have a built-in servo for the pitch change push rod. A Wide range of reductions are available. Input torque from 500 Nm (369 lb-ft) to 35000 Nm (25,830 lb-ft). All sizes have ground, case hardened, helical gears. A special feature is the modular PTO system to drive hydraulic pumps or generators. All PTO’s have an individual hydraulic clutch. All manoeuvring is accomplished by adjusting the pitch.
